Day One: Head to Murchison Falls National park
Wake up in the morning from your hotel and in the company of our tour guide from accessbudgetsafris.com head to Murchison falls national park. On your way, you will travel through the much known Luwero Triangle where the NRM gorilla war took place. You can also visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which is home to the remaining Rhinoceros in Uganda then enjoy your lunch as you continue with your journey to Murchison Falls National Park.
On arrival at Murchison falls, enjoy the beautiful scenery on top of the falls while taking some pictures and enjoying the cool breath of the Worldâ€™s second largest river. You can also view a number of activities carried out on the falls if you have enough time.
Then after a long day, you will retire to the hotel of your choice for dinner and overnight.
Day Two: Game Drive and boat cruise.
Wake up early in the morning for an adventurous game drive in the Northern parts of the park where you will be able to see different animals that include Elephants, Antelopes, Lions, Giraffes etc that are only found in the African Savanna Vegetation and a variety of birds as you head towards the Budongo forest. Then go for lunch as arranged and then after lunch takes a cruise on River Nile.
This will lead you to the bottom of the Marvelous falls with a beautiful view of the neighboring environment like Schools then see the giants of the Nile like the Hippos Buffalos, Crocodiles not excluding a variety of birds like the Fish eagle, Kingfishers, Bee-eaters, the rare Shoebill, Heron etc
Then in the evening dinner and overnight at the hotel of your choice.
Day Three: Transfer to Kibale Forest National park
Wake up early in the morning for breakfast and then head for Kibale national park. you will have lunch on your way as you proceed via Hoima to Fort portal arriving in the park late in the evening. Check in at the hotel of your choice or budget and freshen up as you prepare to visit the park which is home to the biggest number of Chimpanzees in Uganda with a variety of other primates like baboons, monkeys, black and white Colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkey and Colorful butterflies.
Day Four: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING
Wake up very early in the morning for breakfast then head to park headquarters at kanyankyu for the briefing about the walk by the forest guides. Head to the forest in search of the chimpanzees and will walk through the different tracks in the forest in search of these apes. During the walk you will be entertained by different rhythms of colorful birds like blue headed sunbird, red-faced woodland water, yellow spotted nectar, black-eared ground thrush, blue-breasted kingfisher, crowned eagle etc and as you continue with the search you will be able to hear sounds from the forest or loud beating from the tree trunks then you will approaching the apes. On reaching them, you will watch the chimpanzees interact with each other with the young ones playing from tree branches as the elders comb the hair of the infants. Have some time with the apes, take pictures and record videos as you study their way of life. Return to your hotel for lunch and relax or go for a guided community walk. Here the guides will give you detailed information about the chimps and other primates than the forests flora and fauna thus making it an informative and interesting nature walk. Then return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day Five: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Rise up early in the morning and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will enjoy a game drive as you enter into the park where you will get a chance to spot numbers of wildlife like like herds of the elephants, Buffalo, bushbuck and kobs, water backs, bush backs etc as you continue to the park. On arrival at the park quarters, check in at the hotel of your choice
take some rest then after lunch in the afternoon, embark on the trip to Kazinga channel and here you will be able to see a variety of Mammals like hippos, crocodiles waterbucks, buffaloes, warthogs etc. You will also be able to see a number of birds both foreign and local that include white-winged warbler, lesser and greater flamingos, African skimmer, pink-backed pelican, the rare shore bill stork, and martial eagle. Then dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day Seven: GORILLA TRACKING
Wake up early in the morning and after breakfast; get ready to meet the gorillas. you are supposed to wear trousers and gumboots because the forest has biting insects and the ground is quite boggy and packed lunch then head to the ranger station for the briefing before you enter into the forest with the guides. Begin your search for the gorillas and as you walk, you will notice that there are some primate climbing on tree branches like the baboons, black and white Colobus monkeys, red-tailed and blue monkeys etc and a number of birds. as you approach the gorillas, you will hear murmuring sound from the bush and when you locate them, you will be filled with joy because itâ€™s a memorable experience. You are only allowed one hour with the gorillas and during this time you will be able to see how the young ones play on tree branches and the way the adults look for their babies, take photos and relax with them then return to your lodge and in the late evening you may participate in the cultural walk. Dinner and overnight at the hotel of your choice.
Day Eight: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After having a great time with the gorillas, transfer to Lake Mburo national park and on your way, you will be able to see the beautiful hills and terraces of the Kigezi region then proceed to Ankole and here you will be able to see the beautiful herds of long-horned cattle.
On arrival in the park, check in at the hotel of your choice and then you will take a boat ride on the shores of the lake where you will get a chance of seeing a variety of animals like impalas, Zebras, elephants, buffaloes, oribi, defassa, reedbuck, warthogs, waterbucks, status with a variety of birds including Tabora Cisticola, chested wattled plover, Abyssinian ground hornbill and white-winged warbler. Then dinner and overnight at your hotel.
Day Nine: Game drive and transfer to Kampala
After an early morning breakfast, go for a game drive to catch up with the early risers then continue to the salt lick area (observing point) and here you will have an opportunity to see various animals in the park. You will also get a chance of seeing Zebras, Africaâ€™s largest Antelope, the Eland and Impalas licking salt the head to Kampala having a stopover at the Equator in Mpigi district for photographs and you can also visit the craft shop for beautiful African crafts. Arrive in Kampala in the evening heading to Entebbe to catch up with your flight back home.
