Day 1: Arrival-Entebbe & Mabamba Swamp
We will transfer you to your hotel, before your first birding adventure with a trip to Mabama in search of the Shoebill.
Day 2: Entebbe-Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, we drive (7 hrs) to Kibale Forest National Park in the west of Uganda, taking lunch en route.
Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park
This morning, we enjoy one of the primate highlights of Uganda and track Chimpanzees. After lunch at the lodge, we visit BigodiSwamp, a community-run conservation project.
Day 4: Kibale-Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning we enjoy more birding in Kibale, and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a walk around Maragambo Forest and bat cave.
Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
An morning spent on game drives exploring QENPâ€”a park known to harbor over 600 bird species. After lunch we enjoy an exclusive boat tour on Kazinga Channel for more birding activities.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth NP-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
This morning we drive to Bwindi, stopping at Ishasha for a game drive. Here the famous tree-climbing lions can be seen, as well as Shoebill and a variety of birds of prey.
Day 7: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
We spend a day birding around Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today we track the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas of Bwindiâ€”an unforgettable experience.
Day 9: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today we transfer to Ruhija while birding all the way around Bwindi Forest
Day 10: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today we have a full day excursion, birding in the Muwindi Swamp area.
Day 11: Bwindiâ€”Mgahinga National Park
An early morning birding excursion around Ruhija, after which we transfer to Mgahinga National Park
Day 12: Bwindiâ€”Mgahinga National Park
Today we have a full dayâ€™s birding on the forested slopes of the Virungas.
Day 13: Mgahingaâ€”Lake Mburo National park
We drive to Lake Mburo NP, taking lunch en route. Upon arrival we enjoy a boat cruise on the lake itself, where the elusive African Finfoot is often spotted.
Day 14: Lake Mburoâ€”Entebbe
This morning we enjoy a final guided birding walk, before driving back to Entebbe for our international departure later today
